“I’ve lived in Washington County my entire life. My wife and I are raising our children here.
We’re involved in our church, our community, and in numerous public service
projects across the county. I understand
what our residents expect and need from a candidate for District Attorney and I believe that I am the most qualified candidate for the office.
In any courtroom, you will find a prosecutor who works on behalf of the victim of a crime and represents the people of Washington County. For more than a decade, I have represented
you in court, as an Assistant District Attorney, prosecuting criminals.
I have had one goal in mind — putting criminals where they belong — in Jail.
In my more than 10 years as a prosecutor in the District Attorney’s office, I
have seen firsthand how drug abuse and addiction and its related crimes offer
nothing but heartbreak and destruction to many our families. The drug dealers see nothing wrong with peddling this poison for their own profit. They don’t care.
I care — and let me make this clear. As District Attorney, I will work with our local law enforcement to increase and enhance our Drug Task Force Operations.
I want to root out and rid our communities of this trash and put the drug dealers where they belong – not back out on the street where they can harm our young people and families.
I also have a great concern for our county’s seniors. They grew up in a time where they took people at their word and were quick to trust. But today, criminals have new technological tools like the internet to defraud and abuse our senior population. I’m sure it doesn’t surprise you that crimes against seniors are on the increase.
That’s why I established and supervised the “Office of Crimes Against Seniors” within the Washington County District Attorney’s Office. The office is responsible for prosecuting those who prey on our seniors. I want our seniors to know that when I am District Attorney, our office will continue to prosecute those who will attempt to take advantage of you.
I am also the only candidate with a comprehensive plan to streamline our
office, to put more ADA’s in the field to work with local law enforcement and
ensure case management is followed from start of the prosecutorial process to
appeals. It’s a new and innovative process and one that I think will promote
efficiency in the office.
I will run an office that holds the employees and their operations to similar accountability as any other business enterprise. I will find the brightest, most qualified individuals to serve in the office so as to better serve the residents of Washington County.
We need a District Attorney who is an experienced prosecutor, who knows our communities, who has the administrative know how to run an efficient and productive office and who will protect our most vulnerable populations, our children, our grandchildren and our seniors.
I am that candidate and I humbly ask that you Vote Vittone
on November 8th.”
